I want more than 6gb RAM for $139 brand new. What phones do you suggest?

While that is technically true, some phone manufacturers have country versions that contain separate cellular radio receivers. That may make an unlocked US phone not work in another country at all due to incompatible radios or fewer receivers than standard and data and phone calls are worse.

And then the question remains even if you can get into Knox advance setting and hide that huge hyphen mark, do you get the real estate back? You actually get full real estate with edge 2022 once you toggle off that monster sized "nav line" at bottom center

Does the 7 not have an option to limit max charge? I can do that on the N30.
Not as of Android 11. I disabled all system apps relating to upgrading the OS to A12 because there were *many* complaints about it, and it was the last update for this model so I wasn't going to take the chance on being stuck with a bad upgrade that was subsequently abandoned. A12 was their first version after a major re-shuffling by their parent company that combined their programming team with OPPO's, and the initial results (which I'd have been stuck with) were ugly.

I have tried to automate a way myself, but apparently there's no standardization in the device naming for the charging circuitry (or at least there wasn't at the time of my phone's release), so I couldn't find the info I needed to control it. A deep dive into the source code might find it, but that's well beyond my expertise level.

Very few phone in the 6 ounce, over 6.5" range, thats why I went for it. Original Oneplus 8 is an option, unless a 7 or 8 ounce phone dont bother yah, then you got tons of options. S21 FE is probably your best 6 ounce phone

You're using a 9 year old phone as a litmus test of how a company makes phones? Alrighty.

Also, the Moto X Pure was one of Motorola's best reviewed phones (5 seconds of googling would have told you this) and it was not their last flagship released by a long shot either.

So, no clue what anything in your post is even talking about
So, if you bought a vehicle that overheated and was trash within one year you'd be cool with just buying another one from the same company? Check Amazon the reviews are 35% 5 star and 25% percent 2 star. I wasn't alone in getting screwed by Motorola. Device got hot enough to burn my leg, battery would only last about 1.5 hours max on battery saver mode, digitizer went bad after one year and one month. Sorry, I don't buy lemons more than once. Also, Motorola did give up on flagship phones for a while because they couldn't stay competitive. There isn't room enough room on the market for 4th or 5th best phone manufacturer indefinitely. 20 years ago everybody made computers. How many of those manufacturers still make pcs today... Compaq, Toshiba, Sony, Tandy?

This a good deal. I just bought my mom a Moto G Power for $200 earlier this week but hadn't gotten it to her yet. This is more powerful, has wireless charging, better display, better processing, better camera for $60 less.
Will be returning the Power and giving her this one. Should hopefully last her.

Yup, the phone is unlocked to work with any carrier any where.

New trends for small size are flip, SE and smart watch.

There are no new phones in that category. Maybe A54 via metro.
i dont disagree with you, i just think the issue is some people prefer only new devices

Bought a brand new pixel 4a 4g version last year, typing on it now with android 13. The battery barely lasts half day but it can be charged quickly so I am ok

I know this isn't a typical use case, but I have this phone through a trade-in/bill credits plan with T-Mobile. I don't use it as a phone, but to play Game Pass and console emulators. It handles both with ease, but the limited storage prevents me from adding a ton of newer console ROMs to it (still plays GC and N64 games well though).

Also the macro lens camera is pretty good, but I don't use that much beyond the testing when I first got it.

I got these for our kids' first phones last year, and they've been fine for that.

A couple of things to know about this phone. First, it has pretty much no water resistance, so be careful with it. Second, it just got updated to Android 13 last month. Motorola says it'll get an update to 14, but there's no timeline for that. Will it happen? I have my doubts, but I didn't think it'd get 13, so anything is possible.
