I don't need it but kinda want it. Already have the 3/8 stubby m12. Nice deal though 👍

How does the hack work now? Can't choose different shipping methods, just do pickup and cancel the battery at the store?
You can do in store pick up or shipping for both, just cancel one right away. If both available locally you can pick up one at your store and the other at a different location and cancel

If I order the wrench for in store pick up and another tool for ship to store delivery, can I pick up the wrench first and not show up later for the ship to store deliver? They'll have to issue refund for the tool that was not picked up, right?

Exactly how that works

If you already have the stubby, I think you'd want to skip the compact one and go straight to the mid torque one wouldn't you?

Yes. The M12 and M18 3/8" compact are pretty comparable on power; having both would be redundant.

If you want to cover everything above sedan lug nuts (which is about where the compacts stop being useful), you'll want either the ~650 ft-lb M18 mid torque or the ~1100 ft-lb high torque if you might ever work on construction/agricultural equipment.

This ends up being a really good deal on the die grinder too doesn't it?

Yes. Not enough torque advantage with this vs the stubby to warrant it.
The mid torque is great once the m12 runs out of oomph though.

Which one ? Looks like the one for $249 is slide switch and 27,000 rpm and only takes 2" wheels, while the $299 one is beefier paddle switch that spins a slower 20,000 rpm but takes both 2" and 3" wheels…

I have the m12 right angle die grinder and would love to top off the tool selection with a more powerful straight die grinder in M18… decisions 🤔

Has anyone been able to cancel a single item on the Home Depot website or Android app when doing a hack? I can only cancel both at once. I know in the past, this could be done right after the order was placed, but I don't believe it can be done any more. Can anyone confirm or refute this? I have MANY Home Depots near me, so return in store isn't an issue. But, if the hassle could be avoided, it would still be appreciated.

Bump for anybody with experience on m18 die grinders and knows which is best…. Is it a safety thing? Are the motors the same ? Can't I just put a 3" wheel on the 27,000 rpm grinder since they are both 1/4" collet?
