I have a prior version of these from couple years or so ago with a single tweeter which I got them on a deal for $60 or something...to me they sounded pretty good especially for the music and movies with crystal clear vocals but are low on bass; I have added 2 woofers to compensate for that. Definitely not a bad speaker...

$30-40 was for the bare bottoms JBL in ceilings. These are much more improved model up, upgraded tweeters/drivers, better crossovers and improved power handling. I would say they are worth the sale price.

Seems like a good deal compared to MSRP but hard to know how good they actually are without real reviews. Have KEF in ceilings and adding more in ceilings to the basement. The discount compared to MsRP makes me want to bite. Damn Slickdeals
