There is an open slot. You can spend $26 to add 16GB stick.

The processor difference is a quite a bit leap.

Posting as people like this laptop as it is better than most $400-ish when on sale.

5700u is a Zen 2/GCN 5 processor with a full fat then generation GPU. AMD has no exact equivalent in the 7000 series as the Zen 2 version 7320u has a 4 cores with a heavily gimped GPU.

Personally think the $420 on sale Vivobook 16x with Zen 3 - 5800HS is a better laptop at this price.

Goes on sale twice a month recently. Price dropping every month it seems. Probably will be $420 or $400 in a week or two max.

Yeah - I looked at that one. Nice if you don't need the touch screen and don't mind the 12GB of memory.

I bought the one posted, but if this goes on sale again this month I'll likely return and get this one.

Yeah not much $ to add GB (Does it max out at 16GB as the specs reflect or are they wrong?). It doesn't have a touchscreen, right? Required for my kid's needs.

Just looking for something to replace.my yoga 720 (never had a great battery)

Mostly running excel, browsing, windows app, nothing Crazy with great battery life.

The dell 13 inch is something I was considering.

I have a gaming PC.

I'm tired of always having to plug in every 3-4 hours doing basic tasks

I've tried to check the standard websites for processor comparisons, but it seems like those are kind of biased against AMD. I have intel and an AMD laptop but I'm trying to figure out exactly what the performance difference between this one and a 5600H would be. I have the 5600 H in a Legion three, but I don't really use that for productivity tasks since it's just a messing around laptop and I wanted to know if this one had a better processor, or at least marginally better enough than the 5600 age to use for trading software multitasking. I usually stick to Intel, but I do like the legion I have.

Do these have the typical ideapad hinge issues? Picked up an identical model at Microcenter and it doesn't seem it will hold up compared to a thinkpad.

Does anybody know if this supports secondary storage drives like m.2? If not which one would you all recommend that does for a descent price? Thanks,
