300 nits is all I'm potentially worried about. Opinions on whether that is fine for indoor use is all over the place. No need for outdoor usage.
This seems nice for portable office-type use.

This seems nice for portable office-type use.
I really like the screen, the backlit keyboard is great, the Ctrl key is in the right position.
The issues:
1. The first one has hinges that are too loose. When the lid is open and I lift it up or down, it repositions the lid position. It is so bad that when I was working with it on the train, I had to readjust the lid position every 2-3 minutes.
2. The second one has leveling issue. When I put it on the desk, there is a 2 mm gap between one of the pads and the desk. I tried with different desks (and using MacBook on the same desks) and I concluded that the body of my unit is simply a little bit bent.
3. I did not manage to get S3 deep sleep mode working on Linux. Everything else seems to work just fine, except potentially fingerprint reader which I haven't tried.
4. This laptop is somewhat picky about the charger. It works with original charger, but does not work with 65w or 100w apple chargers.
5. I think Lenovo could have made this laptop a bit lighter. Alternatively I think they could have added a second fan to it considering the current weight.
6. The RAM is soldered so you cannot add an extra sodimm.

BTW, nits is a meaningless number (functionally) because no manufacturer tests it the same way. Apples vs oranges vs Russet potatoes. Only way to judge is side by side. Reminds me of the old 5,000,000-to-1 contrasts ratios or "240hz effective refresh rate" some low budget TVs would advertise. Complete marketing BS when the number is not real or directly comparable.
Regarding "poor build quality," mine does not have any of the issues the other user mentioned but I am not saying they haven't experienced them. Just I haven't.

Overall I would say it's a good laptop, but the battery life is definitely not up to the level I was hoping.

I ended up returning both of my yoga laptops. I think it is better to get a professional/business grade laptop from eBay for the same price:
