Imagine flying half way around the world just to stay 3 nights!!!!
Not saying this place isn't beautiful, but there are numerous accommodations averaging $40-$100 a night in Ubud.

This is a "deal" booking from America, but expensive for the area.
Ubud, and most of Bali, for that matter, are even more beautiful that the pictures suggest, because pics and videos can't capture the panoramic beauty in all directions. Been there three times before we had kids, and IMHO one of the most beautiful places in the world (and I grew up in Hawaii).

That all said, for a firstt-time visitor, Ubud is pretty out of the way, and this resort is even more out of the way from Ubud. Lots of restaurants, and cheap tours you can book in Ubud, but staying here you'd be fairly limited to what tours you could book in the hotel lobby - not necessarily going to rip you off, but not much choices.

Anyways the price seems OK for 5* for Ubud, you can certainly shop around. LImiting thing is the airfare, for my US airport, economy roundtrip is $2000 per person for when I'd like to go. The airfare will be the most expensive part of the trip for many times of year, the hotel and other costs are secondary...

Need to see some videos from customers smartphone. Then it will be more realistic. I feel like these pictures are the best shots they have.

It is beautiful and seemingly isolated from those popular tourist spots. Not sure how far away from the city. Nonetheless, with the tropical forest surrounding, all I can think of is how bad the mostique and bugs are.

Stay away from Ubud you're gonna be spending your nights with every living creature in the rainforest (geckos, lizards, spiders, flys, mosquitoes, etc) been in that area it's not worth it stay near the beach instead

I just got back from Bali in September. Beautiful country and nice people. But overall I was disappointed. The traffic around Ubud is a nightmare. It takes hours to get through it and most roads in Bali are two lanes. Overall I was glad to check it off the bucket list, but this island is way too crowded to enjoy it fully.
