This is a "deal" booking from America, but expensive for the area.
That all said, for a firstt-time visitor, Ubud is pretty out of the way, and this resort is even more out of the way from Ubud. Lots of restaurants, and cheap tours you can book in Ubud, but staying here you'd be fairly limited to what tours you could book in the hotel lobby - not necessarily going to rip you off, but not much choices.
Anyways the price seems OK for 5* for Ubud, you can certainly shop around. LImiting thing is the airfare, for my US airport, economy roundtrip is $2000 per person for when I'd like to go. The airfare will be the most expensive part of the trip for many times of year, the hotel and other costs are secondary...
