I didn't say I bought 3 of these.

I was referring to buying 3 smartphones and not being able to buy more online.

Sheesh. What is your problem????

How to stop the month 2 from renewing/charging to CC?

Must activate service within, say 30 days, after receiving?

Yep, answered in the wiki.

No OIS , 2022 version has ois
I found the 2022 much too heavy, personally. 2023 is slightly lighter.

Quote from INeedSpeed :
My 2022 version locked itself again after a software update. It was unlocked before that.

Also, does Metro delete accounts after not logging on for a while? My account with them doesn't exist anymore when I tried logging in recently.
I recall that the 2022 *reports* it as locked after an update but it actually remains unlocked. Can't remember if a following update fixed it or not. It's in the original 2022 post.

Bought this deal 8 months ago. Phone unlock no issue. I went to physical store because I couldn't get online deal to work and it ended up costing $70 total. This is a great deal.

Pro, it has solid battery life and stylus is cool
Con, it is stupidly heavy (due to size)

I ended up using it as phone for shows for kiddo because I could not use this phone 1 handed without getting wrist fatigue.

you don't have to cancel service, Metro won't charge for second month unless you sign up for autopay, autopay is off by default.
So activate, it will stop service after 1st month, then you unlock after 180 days.
It's funny how the word 'autopay' is just one letter off from the word 'autopsy'.

For a minute there, I thought... "Wow. This really is a *killer* deal... some folks even require an autopsy." 😳 LOL

All that said, I think I'm in for a couple of these phones. Thanks OP for posting this deal. 👍🏼 Repping you in a few minutes.

TO THE GAMERS: any of you guys think CODM (Call of Duty Mobile) can be played on this phone w/out completely getting lagged out (& then fragged out)?

Unlocked after 180 days : So do I need to keep the phone / plan active on their network for 180 days. $40 x 6 = $240? Anyone knows?
No you don't.

Not yet. I am so disappointed about Metro customer service. The worst scenario is that UPS insurance company pay them for their "loss" and I have to pay $40 for the service I probably never activate. I literally paid nothing for the phone itself. These guys don't really care about my frustration.
The weight on the label is a prepaid amount

When you went to the store what did they charge you for. Do you have a breakdown. Apparently they charge tax on the phone.

Ok so what I understand is that I will not be charged $40 automatically every month and the phone will be unlocked after 180 days automatically? Can someone confirm please?

Never mind just read the wiki but just want to confirm if auto pay is off by default

Pretty sure it's been asked here. Think so.

Check XDA forums.

Yes. Mine just unlocked.

Fully used everything on Cricket, Visible, Tello, except didn't check wifi calling on any.

T-Mobile and Tello will activate e-SIM. Currently using Tello e-SIM.

For anyone planning to root this device, here are some helpful resources I found while researching. I've rooted plenty of devices in the past, and all this aligns with the same processes.

1. Unlock bootloader: https://androidbiits.com/unlock-b...-1-easily/
2. Root: https://androidbiits.com/root-mot...-1-easily/
3. Firmware download (for rooting bootloader, etc): https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmw...icial/TMO/
