Picked one up yesterday, it will be my second. If you have an old echo, you can trade in at time of purchase. I got $5 bucks but more importantly, 20% off the 155 price, so I'm sub $120 for a new Studio.

This is an EXTREMELY good-sounding speaker for the money, and you can set up two in stereo. Doesn't equal the full-size Homepod but it sounds pretty comparable to my old Sonos Play:1. And that Sonos sounds amazing for its size.

You can turn off Alexa and use it as a bluetooth speaker too, if you prefer, or use the 3.5mm or optical line-in ports.

I went to buy, saw the notice for trade in, followed those prompts, then when I added Studio to cart, it was reduced another 20%, and the $5 credit was added as well. All automatic for me.

OK that's I'm trying to figure out. Have you done trade-ins before? I'm thinking maybe it's because it's my first one but they didn't do it instant

Doesn't really really help me out if I can't get the discount on the sale price.

I have done trade ins before. I have till 1 April to turn in the old one. They basically credit you in advance with warning they will reverse charge if Echo not as claimed. All my old echos showed up, I just selected the oldest one. Did you get an option to select a pre-owned Echo?

Gtlreat speakers. Even if you don't care or want Alexa integration it has Bluetooth, wifi and a 3.5 jack for audio input. It must be sold at cost. It's a ton of speaker for $125-155. Much nicer, imo, than a comparable priced boombox, imo.

Also makes good sound bar

I got an instant discount as this is my second time trading in, my first time didn't yield an instant discount neither, but what I did was immediately shipped the trade in, and chatted with rep to have the discount applied, that way I don't have to wait for them to inspect the trade in and risk missing the sale.

BTW if you get the instant discount it'll specifically say so after you click "Submit" on the trade in page, it says in bold green letter that an instant discount coupon will be applied, no guessing needed.

Not sure maybe that's why they only give instant discount to people with trade in history so they know you can accurate report the trade in condition? To be frank I don't think Amazon cares at all, I traded in a 2nd gen Dot and it says on the page if it's rejected do you accept the adjusted value, which is indicated as $5, well guess what the trade in value is always $5, so essentially they won't reject those lower cost items.

I bought one of these a few months back and returned it. The Bluetooth delay is significant; 1/2 sec or better. If you plan to watch youtube or movies through it you will be very disapointed with the MaxHead room delay in lip movement and sounds.

Loved the spacial audio samples
- but unwilling to buy an additional streaming subscription to get it
