Interesting. So when I linked with me.id last night using my government email address I saw these low prices but as soon as I put it in my cart the price went back up to the normally advertised price but it was still showing as the discounted prices on the pre-cart page. I opened chat and they told me the discount I saw was wrong and to take a screenshot. I took a screenshot sent it to them and they told me to relog. Once I relogged all prices went back to the non-discounted price. My account says its government attached so I'm guessing the discount is only to .edu users? Shitty luck.
Edit: I've cracked the code, you can see here the direct discounts offered based on the EPP program you joined. This looks available to all except Military, and Gov workers.
I ended up buying the Q910C for $488.38 after tax. While Q900C is better, this is the first premium tv speakers I bought, I have nothing to benchmark it to in my past experience, so I am sure I will be happy with it.

You will. I replaced a Sony receiver with 5.0 speakers with a 910c and couldn't be happier. Sure you can drop more money for the 900/990 set up, but for me it's a case of perfect being the enemy of good enough.
Received mine today. I found minor tear on the edge of the woofer and a dent on the top. Wondering if it would cause significant issues to sound quality in the future?
The woot one is Q930c, which is 9.1.4 ch. The Q910c is 9.1.2. So the Q930 has more speakers in the rear speakers. The Q930 appears to be completely wireless.

So Q900C + SWA9500s speakers is about $700. While Q930C is $750 w/tax.
990c has been oos on epp for a while. What do I do if I just want to get some parts now and add surround later. Also need wireless. Also do these have similar eco system like Sonos ie integration with app etc
I can't really say witch is better, if you don't make wires then the Q930C would be the best option, but if wires bother you than I would go with the Q900C and get two 9500S rear speakers. If you can find them.
I did some reverse engineering using the dev tools in chrome specifically the network tab to see web requests that were being made when the page loaded for those sound bars. This is an API they've created that their front end makes calls to determine what they've got the discounts set to in their backend database. You can actually set your cookies to fake being part of an EPP program except when you go to checkout it verifies against their servers to get the real price and increases it.

Q900C still a better deal?
The SWA9500s can be bought on Best Buy open box for $80 or so. You just have to keep looking and they'll pop up eventually. I got an open box excellent set last week for $80.
