Sw-ap-pa is a retailer, not a deal site. It's ebay for phones. I get not wanting mentions of other money back sites on their platform, but this seems a bit excessive.

Highly recommend Ba-ck Mkt. Got a "refurb" 14 Pro last year that was in brand new condition (flawless, 100% battery), with a one-year warranty. Reviews indicated a good chance it'd come like that. Worth a look if buying from Woot feels sketchy. Checked price on a 14 256 in excellent condition and currently about $30 more, which for having 9 more months of warranty and reliable quality/condition, seems more than fair.

These aren't Apple refurbs. They're Amazon returns, and anyone dumb enough to buy them deserves the garbage they're getting

Repaired iPhones at an Apple Store for years and would prefer an unopened used phone to a questionable refurb.

First of all, Apple doesn't design their products to be easily repaired. Just opening an iPhone compromises structural integrity because it requires prying due to the adhesive around the screen. And if that adhesive isn't perfectly replaced then water can get in.

Saw so many shoddy refurbs with loose screws and even parts banging around inside. For a while it was standard to deny service of non-Apple refurbs because they're a liability. Before I left we still denied service if a device had a 3rd party battery because they were so prone to failure and could literally burst into flames in your pocket.

This purchase could work out fine but I wouldn't pay extra for the refurb risk over a used phone. Find a lightly used phone with high battery capacity or just buy it new.

From the site; "Hey, you there! These phones were refurbished by Apple, are in pristine like-new condition, have at least 90% battery life, and come in a sleek custom black box. They come with a 90 Day Woot Warranty."

Only a 90 day Woot warranty. Better off buying new 14 from Apple for $100 more.
Yeah, also ebay has had some great deals. I bought an unlocked 128GB Iphone 14 new in box with 22mo applecare+ for $600 last week.

Echo- NOT an Apple refurb (even if they're saying it is) Apple replaces battery….these have 90% of the 80% they say replace it at…. Still a decent deal if you're looking for a 13 pro specifically cause they are HARD to find- trust me I was looking specifically for one

But why would anyone need 1TB on a phone? 256-512 should be more than enough
Anyone who films a lot of 4k content. Or anyone who saves videos and music locally. Not everyone wants to do everything with cloud based subscriptions. The idea solution would be SD card slot but Apple makes a killing up selling people on overpriced storage.

You want to store full seasons of TV shows on your phone? I'm good condition? Your storage will be nuked fast.

Sure you can keep them on the cloud. But I would rather have a good selection of offline music and movies etc....

Well it makes me question if I should use this site to increase consumer awareness. You can't even mention the existence of reseller markets.

They can do it, but then drop the pretense of Slickdeals being a place that helps you save money to be a more lucid consumer.

Swappa isn't blocked (or it would be in my post too). But we don't allow specific deals from there since 98 out of 100 times people would just be posting their own listings.
