I got this kit very recently. It was a huge upgrade from my TD07kv and it's hard to put into words how crazy different it is. I am a fairly new electronic drummer but I love this kit so much. You definitely know that most of the sounds of the kits are "massaged" sonically but a lot of the kits are great sounding and are very playable. The module is so powerful and the snare, hi hat and ride are top notch. So far I am loving it

I got this kit very recently. It was a huge upgrade from my TD07kv and it's hard to put into words how crazy different it is. I am a fairly new electronic drummer but I love this kit so much. You definitely know that most of the sounds of the kits are "massaged" sonically but a lot of the kits are great sounding and are very playable. The module is so powerful and the snare, hi hat and ride are top notch. So far I am loving it

This is the one to buy. Need hi hat stand, kick pedal, pair of quality closed headphones (Sennheiser Professional HD 280 PRO) and maybe a better throne in the future. Also, PA (Alto Professional TS) for performing live for an audience.

I have an old TD3 from years ago. I liked it because I could practice any time of the day or night but quickly became tired of it. It's nothing like an acoustic kit. This is a top notch deal, but make sure you understand what you're buying. Try playing one at your local music store first.

For the gen2, yes. When they were clearancing out the gen 1 in 2022, I picked it up for $849.00 and I don't expect to see it priced that low for a long time.

That's a once-in-a-lifetime type of thing, I think. I paid 1600 around when the Gen1 first came out -- to be able to pick this up for this price after years of insane inflation is surprising (and with a throne included, too).

Great kit. The bundled throne and sticks are junk, and you'll need pedals (hi-hat stand and kick) as those are sold separately. Consider these expenses (if you replace the throne, an additional $300-400 for entry level non-junk, and up to $1000+ for pro-level parts.)

I'd say I wished I waited for the Gen 2 to come down in price, but then I'd have still been playing on the floor, pillows, cans, and practice pad for the past year. 😂
