As I mentioned in yesterday's Amazon thread for the same pencil, this is pretty decent pricing than the $130 regular pricing for people that NEED the extra features and can keep the pencil charged. (Also recommend Apple Care if you decide to buy this - see the other thread for why).
For most everyone else, there are far less expensive options that provide ALMOST same functionality.
In short, know what your needs are before deciding to buy this or alternatives. Just hoping to save someone some money in these high inflation times and because this is our beloved SD.

In addition to the decent knockoffs, I wouldn't be surprised though if Apple might be seeing some price pressures internally from their own most recent pencil with USB-C charging port and the fact that this pencil 2 becomes essentially a more expensive paperweight if charge is not maintained as there really doesn't seem to be a way to replace the tiny battery.
I guess time will tell.

1) The Pencil 2 doesn't fall to the same charging issues as often as the Pencil 1 does simply to the fact that every time the Pencil 2 is magnetically stored on the iPad it is charging. The Pencil 1 needs to be actively connected to the device to charge and is easier to forget to keep it topped off. Pencil 2 is more passively charged every time it's docked.
2) If your Pencil 1, Pencil 2 or USB-C Pencil does have issues with the battery Apple will replace the entire unit for only $29 under their battery repair service. Please don't toss these things away, you can get them replaced for much cheaper from Apple.

I bought an Apple Pencil 2 from Amazon and opened it after a year. The pencil does not charge above 0% and Apple won't replace it for free.
The store manager says we should have known that the battery should be used within 6 months.
