They come with like 12,000 on there already on that device. Most of the good games from the 80s and 90s. But you can get roms online easy and put the roms on there yourself with a little research on how to do it, there's tons of youtube tutorials. Heres a good started video to introduce you to the amazing world of retro handhelds.

This guy is like the handheld Jesus. lol His videos are like our bible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c...GaCk&t=48s

Well, I don't have one of these, I have an R36s which has the same chip in it. From what I understand the XU10 has better controls. But the R36s has a better UI with ArkOS 2.0

I have heard that lots of these are being shipped not working or dying shortly after people get them. This means they prob have really bad build quality and quality control. I know the R36s is pretty robust. So if yo don't mind a little bit louder shoulder buttons I'd go with the R36s.

So I've never used the 505 and I checked out some reviews and it didnt get the best reviews. It doesnt come with play store installed which is massive.

The 405m is available for under $150 and has trhe same chipset as the 505 the T618 chip, its a great chip, but the 405m has a beautiful and premium CNC aluminum case. For reals I'd just get the 405m it's a beast and that shell is premium it feels like your holding like an iphone.

But if you need that vertical go with the 405V. It's little bit bigger than the RG353v but it has more ergonomic grips.

RG505 comes with the play store now.

For anyone with interest in these devices, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend going to the link mwitters posted to the "Retro Game Corps" Youtube channel with Russ. He reviews almost EVERY device, at least the notable ones (good and bad).

So far, mwitters has answered the same way I would have to all of your questions, but it's worth your time watching Russ's videos. They are excellent.

Indeed, Russ is great Thumbsup I watch a few different retro handheld YouTubers, but I always watch his reviews if he's made one for any given device (I made sure to include his review for the XU10 when I posted this thread, for example). I like Taki Udon, TechDweeb, Adin Walls, @retrohandhelds, Joey's Retro Handhelds, and Bo Knows Gaming too; but Russ/Retro Game Corps is the one I watch most often.

How does this compare to the ambernic rg35xx plus? I can see those analogue sticks being useful for the 32-bit consoles

Are all these emulators pretty similar? I'm looking for something that's easy to set up because I don't want to spend a ton of time customizing anything. If there's a optimized OS/emulator that I can load and a good repository of ROMs I think that will get me to a point where I can just set it and forget it for kids to use on road trips or on the plane.

Can you still use cheats like Game Genie on these handheld? I'm terrible at some games and need the extra boost to clear some of them. If it's harder than Mega Man I'm SOL.
