Does he already have a controller? I think COD is a first person shooter with a single player on the screen. Unless the controller gift is to give them a controller with another color, I would hold off to give them an upgraded controller like the Xbox elite controller.

These go on sale every now and then, and when they do go on sale it is indeed a great deal. Plus what gamer wouldn't want a gaming controller as a gift

I mean if you want anything high quality when it comes to controllers, you'll have to go with the elite version. Even then those $200 controllers develop stick drift. I have both Xbox and ps5 elite style controllers and I must say the Xbox feels more luxurious and bang for the buck but it's just personal opinion. I only said this was a good deal cause for #1 it's a gift to give someone. If it was for ones self I'd say just get the elite. Also they said they have an Xbox system.
