Purchased these last time on sale. Wasn't impressed. Really off putting smell when cooking. Tasted ok. Does not cook like regular dehydrated hash browns like Idaho hash browns. I found needed to boil for 10 min. Then let set for at least 20 min, best overnight to make hash browns. Otherwise come out hard.

Thanks for this info. Was just debating whether to try these to replace Idaho dehydrated.

Also, they ones I rcvd were more like chips than shreds. I haven't opened the second can I purchased yet because really don't want to use. Will save it for the EMP days.
