The motherboard's memory topology matters immensely here. If you have a daisy-chain topology, 2 sticks is generally better. If you have a T-topology, then 4 sticks is generally better.

Some good info here if you don't know what you have if you have an AM4 mobo (most people won't know what they have): https://docs.google.com/spreadshe...2112472504

Nobody buys RAM in smaller multiples in anticipation of it failing.

Good find. I've had a lot of good luck with corsair ram.

Got it! Thanks. I'm going to install this in my gaming PC, and put the older Ram in my wife's PC.

Buying in a 4 pack makes no sense unless you're building more than one PC. 2 sticks of ram is always faster than 4.

That said, it isn't a bad deal l.
But what if one stick goes bad? You left with 32GB instead of 48GB

Care to share some writeup on this? Logically, your statement doesn't make sense to me.

I'm currently running this exact 4 stick kit in my system at exactly it's rated speed! How much faster should it be running?

It works. Try searching Amazon for "CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 64GB (4x16GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C18 1.35V Desktop Memory - Black"

That's the slick deals redirect working its magic. Most links on this site didn't work for me until I bypassed their redirect. I use the "skip redirect" plugin for Firefox and that solved the issue. You can also try right clicking the link and "copy link without site tracking" then paste into the address bar.

I bought this RAM when it was $80 for the 2-pack (bought total 4 sticks for 64GB) and it's done me very well. Of note, I had one bad stick on install and it took me a few cycles to isolate the bad stick but I bought from BB so I was physically able to return/exchange on the spot and just for one pack. That would be my one concern about buying from Amazon with a backlogged shipping date.

But has been trouble free for the past 2ish years despite this RAM not being explicitly on my mobo's compatibility list (ASUS x570).
