I don't have this model, but I do own two pairs of a cheaper version they make. My dad and I use them when we go shooting. They work pretty darn well.

We get the benefits of ear protection while still being able to hear each other and our surroundings.

Where we shoot, there are a lot of people that use off-road vehicles in the surrounding areas, so it's nice to hear their engines so we can stop pewpewing while they're around.

We can also hear each other while talking softly from quite a distance.

I think I paid $40 per pair, so I would gladly pay this price for a nicer version.
