If you've been a long time ring alarm owner(maybe before 2022) then you can set up a pin(just one) otherwise you'll have to have the subscription plan. It doesn't replace the keypad if you have multiple people in your home who wants different pins. But what I like is that it does show the status of the alarm, disarm, home, or away on the screen.

You can disable the news and recipes. I've disabled everything and get what I want. Pictures, calendar, smart home, shopping list and sticky note.
No. This is a hub that supports zigbee, zwave, matter, and thread.
Yes it does
also pretty awesome when it says "this episode brought to you ad free by Samsung... right after this ad from Samsung!"
Prime Video has always been a hilarious service... it's like if you had to pay a monthly fee to get into a BlockBuster store back in the day, and still had to pay to rent movies... What a business model!!!
tossed all my Amazon/Alexa/Echo devices... she's just such a chatty turd, all the time. i just asked for the damn weather, stop telling me about how you can help me order more products!!!

"Smart Home Device Compatibility
Compatible with WiFi and Bluetooth Low Energy Mesh devices, as well as Zigbee, Thread, and Matter devices as a controller only."
"With Zigbee, Thread, Bluetooth LE, and Amazon Sidewalk radios on board, the Hub is also a smart home hub, capable of being a Thread border router and Matter Controller. (You'll still need a separate Z-Wave hub compatible with Alexa to use Z-Wave devices)."
Requiring you to integrate with another hub that includes zwave is not the same as zwave support
