I'm a huge fan of Anker products, Eufy being a sister company I really want to like and recommend their products but do your own research on eufy and privacy issues.

THEY HAVE BEEN CAUGHT LYING ABOUT THEIR PRODUCT AND PRIVACY. THEY DO NOT HAVE LOCALIZED STORAGE, THEY UPLOAD YOUR DATA TO THE CLOUD ALONG WITH YOUR FACIAL PROFILE. THEIR STREAM IS NOT ENCRYPTED AND CAN BE VIEWED BY ANYONE. THEY HAVE INSTANCES OF PEOPLE BEING ABLE TO VIEW OTHER CUSTOMERS LIVE CAMERA STREAMS. FURTHERMORE WHEN CAUGHT RED HANDED THEY DENIED AND LIED SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT THIS AND HAVE NOT APOLOGIZED OR TAKEN ACTION. THEY ARE LYING AND SHOULD BE SUED. DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR CLAIMS ABOUT PRIVACY. THEY OFFER NONE. IT IS ALL MARKETING. THIS IS FRAUD. DON'T BELIEVE ME? LOOK IT UP, THERE ARE ARTICLES EVERYWHERE.

EUFY's track record for managing their wifi security devices securely is BAD. The cameras alone have been exposed to the open internet with unencrypted connections allowing anyone to access the video feed. What's worse, is that when they were notified of the issue despite providing reproduction steps, they denied the issue entirely and closed the issue. They do not take security seriously and thus should have no business making locks for people's homes.

We installed a eufy system, and it's fantastic. We have ZERO concerns about the so-called "privacy" claims because ALL of our cameras are outdoors, and we never activated cloud storage. We got what we paid for, and it's a better system than the comparable Ring or Blink which mandate cloud subscriptions.
