Bought one of these for my mom from Walmart several weeks ago, new, sold by Walmart directly.

watch was DOA. orange apple logo and wouldn't charge. My poor mother went to the Apple Store after we chatted online with support, saying they would replace it. Apple Store says it was sold over a year ago and the warranty was expired. I opened the box and it was Apple sealed and completely untouched. Might have been a very unlucky purchase on my end, but Apple told my mom anyone selling the 8 still is probably not selling a new device (lies, but still very annoying)

Mine has not shipped yet so I guess I'm getting cancelled if it's happening to others. I don't know if I'm relieved or not after reading so many stories in the reviews of people receiving used watches repackaged as new from Walmart. Maybe I'm avoiding a worse fate than a missed Slickdeal. Congrats to all who got the watch at the great price!

Just because that was a better deal doesn't mean this is not a deal, too.

Keep in mind that was a clearance price that isn't available anymore…

Also, not everyone needs cellular.
