Good thing battery packs don't need replacement. Thermally managed batteries degrade less than 2% per year and do not just fail. Good try though buddy.
And there's lot more maintenance costs than just oil filters with ICE vs. EV.

Not true. Battery packs don't degrade in a linear fashion and don't ever degrade completely. So by year, let's say 20, you'll still have well above half capacity and degradation will have slowed to a snail's pace.
So, with a 250-300 mile range car, you will still have well over 100 mile range, after 20 years. The average driver drives about 40 miles a day.
I had a 10 yr old Nissan Leaf that had about a 60 mile range, and it satisfied 90%+ of my needs. I've been driving EV's since 2013, and I'm on my fourth one. No denial here. And no affirmation needed. Just trying to educate idiots like yourself.
Again, nice try buddy.

These EV's are not for everyone. If you like yours -great- but you're preaching in the wrong forum. There are tradeoffs for every type of car. I could go into some issues with EVs, but this isn't the place.
I've been using Solar for 20 years in some capacity or the other, but I don't invade a forum about gas generators and call them idiots or adopt a holier-than-thou attitude. Frankly, it's really annoying.

Having 4 (EV) cars in 11 years (one being a lease and currently own two), is not out of the ordinary. Especially since one is mine and one is my wife's.
I have solar as well, not really comparable to a gas generator, since it is my (and most people's) main power.
And not adopting any kind of attitude. The guy was spouting off misinformation, and telling me I was in denial, etc. So I (rightly so) called him an idiot.
Solar is the right answer for people only some of the time (financially, reasonable ROI, location, etc.), whereas EV's make sense for MOST people. It's just a better method of propulsion and saves you money.

probably a good thing
Look at what Purolator did with their last generation oil filters a decade ago. They were all tearing. They just changed their logo and colors and ignored the problem. Many people and car manufatureres who relied on getting their OEM oil filters made by Purolator got upset. There was even talk about a class action lawsuit.
Or maybe that's fine to drive without unflitered oil. Purolator let it happen for many years.
Google "Has Purolator fixed the tearing issues?"

My tires wear at about the same rate as an ICE vehicle of similar weight. I drive a small EV though, not a big heavy one. Weight is the factor, has nothing to do with being electric.
