My 850w took a crap after 9.5 years. Reached out to EVGA and got it warranted. I had to pay to ship the old unit back but it was a very smooth process. Got another unit within days.

A 3070 uses 220w per hour. Your total comupter system probably uses less than 500w. You should allow at least 100w to prevent your power supply from constantly going full load which will degrade the power supply quicker.

You can use a PSU calculator, and have an idea tied to your system. https://www.akshatblog.com/pc-pow...uirements/

7 year warranty from a decent company for this price, seems pretty great. I wish there were better reviews like Jonny Guru these days.

Good timing on this. I just went to check on my parents PC I built a few years ago with the 220-GA-0750 and found it completely dead. I built the PC in March 2020 and it runs a really small power load(not sure why I bought a 750w PSU).

Still under warranty but still a bit surprising to me.

Just my personal experience, YMMV.

Warranty should be one of the biggest factors when purchasing a PSU. I've had PSUs die after 10+ years and some die after a couple days and of course just plain DOA. The only factor that is consistent is warranties being honored by reputable manufacturers

This or the Corsair RM750e? Planning to build 7700x paired with 2060 super. I'll likely want to upgrade GPU at some point so was thinking 750w would be better but Corsair one has lot of people saying they make a whining sound.

Bought one of these from a slickdeal post back in 2021. It was an A-tier PSU at the time, not sure why it's been bumped to B-tier. None the less, mine runs my AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and 3080 with perfect stability in every game I've used the system for. Most would probably recommend a 750w for a 5800x/3080 build, but a properly designed and implemented 650w (which this is) will do just fine.

Don't have this unit but have EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G3 since 2018. Never missed a beat. Had a GPU fail, these guys replaced with a better model under warranty. This is a company I would buy from no questions asked.
