Picked up one the last time. Here's what you can expect: it takes roughly about 2 1/2 weeks to get this delivered. Display only shows a battery and usb, AC, DC to show you what's outputting. Charges really show via the DC output hooked up to my solar panel, can only estimate around 30w max charge per input. Support dual inputs to charge it via DC plug and PD usb-c. For the price I can't really complain it comes with a lamp for camping and power outages, which is my main use for this.

I want to get an adapter for my EV that will let me use this as an emergency battery.

Bought one last time. Out of the box it claimed 100% charge but dropped quickly under a very light load. I let it get below 25% and recharged it and then the indicator acted more reasonably. Light enough I can put it in my backpack, charges via AC/DC and I bought a 45W GaN USBC charger that it will also charge from (but you lose the USBC port for output while it's charging, but fewer single-use things to carry around). Overall a decent pack for the price.

You'd get less than a mile out of any of these.

Likely about 7-10 times.

Depends on speed... my long range rwd 3 can get a mile from 230 wh, so the 240 wh battery might go that far, but there are losses when transferring juice. It's not 100%, you'll lose at least 3%, maybe more. I never tried such small transfers with slow speeds.

But ultimately it would be stupid to buy this for that purpose.

I'm interested because my FIOS no longer has battery backup as an option, so I'd be interested in a long life battery for that purpose.

Just for future reference, in case you were letting it discharge so that you could "calibrate" it:

Lithium ion and lithium phosphate batteries have no cell "memory" and don't need to be calibrated. In fact, depleting lithium ion (less so in lithium phosphates like these, but still not good) batteries actually harms their longevity and can lessen their charge capacity.

Only the older NiCad, NiMH, and lithium polymer batteries had problems with cell regulation and thus occasionally benefitted from being bled dry to "calibrate".

If you ever see an app or guide recommending that you calibrate your laptop, smartphone, power tools, etc, you can be sure they aren't to be trusted.
