Tried to price match with target but no luck. No Best Buy in stock but can order. I was able to get the original fat ps5 for $399 from staples

Probably. The pro version is supposed to come out end of the year or early next year (most likely this year ahead of Xmas sales). As for deals in between, Im sure there will be similar (not better) deals to clear out some stock. The regular PS5 and PS5 Pro are supposed to coexist.

I was able to get the OP version at Walmart. No price match, it was advertised for $449.99. My Walmart had 4 of them in stock. Best Buy's all required a few days delivery or store pickup

I've got an Xbox Series X and PS4 Pro, and am on the fence about buying a Slim now vs waiting to see if a PS5 Pro drops this fall. It sounds like Sony's not releasing any major franchise sequels in 2024. So limping along with a PS4 for another 6-8 months may not hurt too badly unless you're dying to play FF7 Episode 2:

For a bit more data, someone kindly posted a list of PS5 exclusive games (i.e. not on Xbox or Switch but may be on PS4 or PC) and I upgraded to italicize the games that don't have a PS4 version (that is, games that you could not play on either a PS4 or an Xbox Series).

Bought this at PC Richard & Sons for $499. They price matched my purchase to BB @ $449. Good deal.

I guess to each his own.

I'm having a blast playing it, around 90% done. What you describe is one out of maybe 100 side quests (and very skippable.)
Fighting Venom, Kraven, other villains, and just plain around gliding around a near photorealistic version of NYC is one of the most fun times I've had with a game.
