Ego charges out the ass for their battery packs.
I do agree the batteries are expensive. What are some other brands of tools that has affordable batteries? The usual suspects I can think of are all overpriced just like Ego.

My 25 year old gas pushmower might be on its last leg, but I just use it to get tight spots the rider can't get into easily. So I'd really be more interested in a big battery for blowing leaves in the fall.

This is a ripoff.
The biggest thing I like is that my wife actually REALLY likes it - to the point that she has kinda of refused to let me mow the lawn since we got it. I've maybe used it 5 or 6 times since I got it.
