This is not one of the better deals on gold unless you really value the small assay cards. This is about $1,645 worth of gold as of this post. So you are paying a hefty premium by Costco standards. If you are using it as a safe haven investment, buy in ounces at a lower premium. If you are worried about the zombie apocalypse, buy ammo.

These are absolutely beautiful and the form factor is amazing. I've been buying the silver coins mainly because the silver/gold ratio is low imo meaning silver is undervalued but I also prefer the silver net value. A one ounce gold coin is not very divisible but these are just great. The markup is high but I'm buying for the long term and appreciate the form factor.

Correct 25 grams is about .8 troy ounce. The coins are a much better bargain as is the 100 gram bar. I just really appreciate this form factor.
