Surprised these are in demand. Never underestimate the number of bathroom gamers! :-)
I pre-ordered one. I use it sometimes, usually while I have a tv program on that I just want to listen to but not necessarily watch, but can still look at it intermittently while I play casual games. For more intensive games, I still play those on the tv
Target has been having a lot in and out of stock for the past few months. I subscribed to a restock tracker and was able to order for pickup nearby. $190 with Redcard aint bad.
No seriously, buy a steam deck. You can remote play your ps5 on it and it does way more stuff. Why did Sony even make this thing???
I have a steam deck as well as this. I've been playing more PS games these days than PC. I like my steam deck, but most of my gaming has been on the couch. I got this so I can play while my GF watches something on TV, or to play for a little while in bed before I go to sleep. This is lighter and more comfortable in the hand, has the dualsense controls, and is easier plug and play.
If you're looking at a truly portable system, or purely looking at best bang for the buck, steam deck is the obvious choice. But the portal does what it does well.

Or people like myself who have a man cave that's 300 feet from the house and can't spend all day playing in there away from the kids. So I remote play on the couch next to them.

You can also use your rog ally to stream with too. Both better options especially if you already have them.
