The 2.5 ah battery may retail for $179, but most sd'ers don't equate it with a $179 value. That's due to the fact that at different times of the year we are able to get that battery for much less. It does make the deal better than just getting the 5 ah battery in the kit and paying $299 overall. Thanks for posting this OP.

2.5 battery worth about $50-75 if you have some sort of returns outlet or bins store nearby. I get these blowers for $150 all the time.

I have this blower and it's a beast as far as battery blowers go. Ego does make an 800 cfm backpack dual battery model, but this is their most powerful handheld one. In my experience the 2.5 ah batteries are worthless in this particular blower, but handy if you have other Ego tools like string trimmers or hedge trimmers. 5.0 ah or larger is a must, and a shoulder strap is beneficial for extended use.

Acme Tools is running the same deal but often have sweet cb offers through h0ney (15-20%).

I agree, but this model comes with a shoulder strap. At least it was in my box.
