Charging 4x is not an issue with two batteries.
Calling these machines "trash" is still extremely hyperbolic and helps no one. No solution is perfect; my parents are elderly but still enjoy the exercise of mowing the lawn; not having to clear out seasonal gas, clean out carbs, and push around heavy machines is a boon to them, so electric is ideal for them.

Battery longevity has never been an issue with me (.5 acre) with two batts since I usually need a little break anyway, and it takes about a minute to switch out the batteries in the charger.
The great thing about these (I assume also with Ego) is that the chargers are so fast that by the time I finish cutting the yard, it's already charged my first battery. So I can use that one for blowing, or just have it ready for the next cutting.
I've owned a Kobalt 80v (Greenworks rebadge) for almost 6 years and there have been several times where I would have been unable to use it if I only had one battery due to warranty covered failure or just the battery reaching the end of its life and trying to find a deal on a new one.

I use a cool fully charged, from the previous cut,10ah run it until drained and then while charging edge, weed whack and blow with a 5ah then finish off the lawn with the fresh charged 10ah. But now I have two 7.5ah from the snow blower deal so I will be able to just cut my 1/2 acre all at once.
Despite having the honking massive battery (I actually got the 10 amp battery I think) I ran out of battery within 22 minutes. For a third of an acre, this is obviously not enough. I should not have to charge 3 batteries to get a third of an acre done with my thousand dollar mower.
Just buy gas. These battery-powered mowers are garbage. I bought this one to replace my Greenworks mower that lasted 15 minutes on a charge.
it's not just a bigger battery
