Charging 4x is not an issue with two batteries.
Calling these machines "trash" is still extremely hyperbolic and helps no one. No solution is perfect; my parents are elderly but still enjoy the exercise of mowing the lawn; not having to clear out seasonal gas, clean out carbs, and push around heavy machines is a boon to them, so electric is ideal for them.

4 charges is something you want to waste time with? Does your time mean nothing to you?
Thank you for proving my point. Battery powered, including this model, are trash. I've used this model with one of their better batteries. We have St. Augustine grass in Texas. The blades are thick, these battery-powered types can't hack it for a significant amount of time.
I also find battery-powered chainsaws to be incredibly lackluster, but automotive tools, leaf blowers, weed whackers, are generally pretty good.

I am still using a self-propelled Honda purchased in (gulp!?) 1987.
It generally starts on the first pull.
Very little regular maintenance...except for the handle, which snapped at the bottom and was repaired with the aid of a friend who has welding gear and expertise.
I enjoyed reading this thread, though, and am somewhat disappointed by the news that EGO has gone cheap on batteries. Not good. Not good at all.
It's a great mower for small yards with few or no trees. Just keep your expectations realistic.
This year bought a PAD5000 inverter that failed using high Ah batteries. Had to get 3 replacements before I got a working model, but each time was a single call to support and a pre-paid return label for the failed units.
Of course it would be better if these things never failed in the first place, but their customer support has been great every interaction I've had at least. And not too many companies offer free return labels these days which is great.
