New wording for Metro unlock policy:

We unlock mobile devices that meet the following eligibility criteria free of charge:

The device must be purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.
The device must not be reported as lost, stolen or blocked.
Three hundred sixty-five (365) days must have passed since the device's activation date."

Should obviously only apply to purchases made after they changed the rules.
But might have to fight for that...

You need to choose the "Bring your number" option and choose the $60 plan. Then it'll charge you $65 for the plan (where the extra $5 is because of no autopay).

Yes, I ported out my metro number under 30 days and the phone still unlocked at 180. It doesn't auto unlock. Depending on the phone manufacturer you either run an app (Samsung) or there's an unlock option in the settings (One plus, Motorola, TCL, etc)

Yeah I have done A54 deal and it auto unlocked but I assume you have to keep the line active for 30 days (pretty basic rule) but good to know.

I'm approaching the 180 days anniversary of the 2023 Moto g Stylus that I bought last September. I was assigned a new free number that has been inactive since the first billing cycle. Is that number eligible or ineligible to "port-in"? I actually like that number as it is remarkably close to my other ones.
I'm thinking of getting the Razr 2023 but can't read the reviews to any of the phones on their site. I guess I'll have look elsewhere for feedback from owners.
