New wording for Metro unlock policy:

The device must be purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.
The device must not be reported as lost, stolen or blocked.
Three hundred sixty-five (365) days must have passed since the device's activation date."

Should obviously only apply to purchases made after they changed the rules.
But might have to fight for that...

to setup the voicemail pin have go to settings and enable Call to listen Check and manage your voicemails by calling your Google Voice number.

I bought a Metro phone 180 days ago, I've been checking to see if I can unlock it. For the past few days it kept giving the error message about how I haven't met the qualifications, "must be on Metro for 180 days" error message so I assume it was just short of 180.

Today it says I haven't met the qualifications, "system error, please try again later or call Care". I really hope I can get this unlocked and that Metro hasn't made it impossible.

I've thrown to the same hole. Call CS to complete the order blah blah... and my number is blocked to start over. I think they're randomly showing this message to lure people to their stores. I did the same deal a few months ago without any problems. Now I've wasted two numbers and am going to step away from them...

I was having same issues...but just did Google number and it went straight through....I was trying tracfone nunebr for days and same error

I've tried GV too. I set the pin and confirmed it by call my voicemail but it went same.

It used to be possible to start over the purchase when it fails, but now they block the numbers when failing to complete the order for some reasons.
