Now they've done it...
New wording for Metro unlock policy:

https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/t...ock-policy

"Unlock eligibility requirements
We unlock mobile devices that meet the following eligibility criteria free of charge:

The device must be purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.
The device must not be reported as lost, stolen or blocked.
Three hundred sixty-five (365) days must have passed since the device's activation date."

Should obviously only apply to purchases made after they changed the rules.
But might have to fight for that...

Your account number is your google voice phone number. The pin is the one you set up in Google voice to check voice messages.

I'm experiencing this too. I called customer service and they "escalated" the problem but will still need to wait another 30 minutes for the porting to complete.
I got similar issue, able to make out going call but all the receiving call go straight to voicemail of google. I have the feeling the port wasn't completely or something. But i was able to access to my online account, see correct phone line, next month require pay after 29 days.
So do i have to call customer service for completing porting or just leave it in the draw and come back after 180 days unlock, anyone know about this issue, please share. thank you

Edit: It was a glitch/update. All is well.....carry on Slickdealers!

DEAL DEAD. iPhone 12 now $629 with port.

(Looks like all phones are now full price without any discount being offered. Hopefully this is just a glitch and things will go back to "normal".)

Yes, it was absolute hell. For the $80 iPhone 11 deal. District manager got involved, told him I knew I could decline protection and that employees lie for commission yada yada. He didn't like that but gave me the deal . Had to file chargeback after I told them you can't charge taxes to instant rebate.
Where does it say they can't charge taxes on instant rebate. I had to pay taxes on the full value of the phone. How can I contact the district manager in the area. Thanks

I went to store and they told me I have to pay the taxes, activation fees and total would be around 200 lol
Sounds about right, the taxes they make up, my states tax isn't and even number so I know they just input and rounded up. The employee that gave me the deal was nice and told me I knew more than most customers and walked me through the checkout/showed me how they mark it up.

Not sure manager got fired shortly after lol my aunts a tax expert and explained the laws in my state when it comes to that. Website updated awhile back after I did the 11 deal and specifically put taxes must be paid on full price of phone. Glad I can avoid store, I'm not the target customer though, I get the deal turn off auto pay then trade phone or sell so I can upgrade for cheap later on.

Google Voice Number is like a landline. The port takes a few days. You can go to voice.google.com; choose settings and check the port status.

I've been trying to figure out why I had 3 recent phone buys go through without a hitch and others get identity questions or other issues. On my last 3 phones I used Business credit cards not personal. If you have had problems and have a business card try it.

All these deals are to avoid the scamming stores .
If you can't pass online verification, you should go ahead to forget.... Authorized stores are den of thieves, avoid whatever you can

Last year, I bought 4 Metro phones and got the ID verification questions on two of them, but all orders went through. So far this year, I've bought a Moto Razr in January, an iPhone12 on Monday, an iPhone11 on Tuesday and all went through without the ID questions. I used 3 different names, personal credit cards, same shipping address. I too don't know why Metro gave some people such a hard time.
