Last year, I bought 4 Metro phones and got the ID verification questions on two of them, but all orders went through. So far this year, I've bought a Moto Razr in January, an iPhone12 on Monday, an iPhone11 on Tuesday and all went through without the ID questions. I used 3 different names, personal credit cards, same shipping address. I too don't know why Metro gave some people such a hard time.
Metro introduced online verification system since last April. It is business practice to prevent from the losing revenue to only deal with the real customers

So I bought a gv number and it turned out to be a tmo number so i cant get the discount. is there a way to check the carrier of the number before unlocking it on google? I checked that number at https://freecarrierlookup.com/ and it is listed as a bandwidth.com number
Can't you get your own google voice number from google?

I got that too yesterday afternoon. After a few times, I gave up. Then at 9pm, I was able to do it. I think their number transfer automation sucks. Just try it again a few hours later.

I did buy it from Google. Problem was fixed when I tried another browser incognito mode.

Can I change the plan from 65 to 40 while I activate my phone Razr. I should have picked 40 instead of 65. Would they refund me that $25?

Anyone who has existing line with metro can get Samsung tablet for $20 (not a bad deal in this inflation).
does that mean, you have to open and pay for a new data account for the tablet?

Just set up my iPhone 12, it had iOS 17.3 on it. These must be newly made 12's? 11 also has 17.3

Same here. Received and activated my i12 this morning, then logged in and added an i11 as a new line. It offered me $0 for the phone + $30 for the 2nd line, sounds great. Went through with checking my GV number for port-in (it got reserved), entered payment info, then got the damn message to call Metro. Mad
