No, you don't need to call C.S. After you activated your service, you should get an email with the title "You did it. Your Phone is active".
Sorry I am a little confuse, after I clicked "activate" button, Metro gave me a new number. And then it said to call C.S. to initiate transferring (port-in) your number.

If you said we don't need to call C.S. after activated, then we don't need to port-in our my number? Or it will port-in our number automatically?

So weird even though i am not logged in and on vpn and still its says Sorry, you are not eligible to add a new line. Please contact support to discover the reason for ineligibility. 1-888-8metro8. How the hell they know i ordered one. 😒
Same here. Tried with different addresses, different cards, different browsers, always deleted the browsing data first, still the same issue. Calling that number also didn't help.

Any tips anyone?

Try mobile data not WiFi. It might work. It is a hit and miss, but mostly miss.

I ran into the same problem on Wednesday afternoon after a failed order in the morning. At first I thought they had blacklisted my account, but later in the evening I was able to add a line again (although the order still didn't go through). My guess is that you get the "unable to add a line" message if the previous failed order hasn't been purged completely from Metro system yet. You can try again tomorrow and see if you still can't add a line.
Thanks for the tip. I tried again just now and I am able to add a line. However my rotten luck I can't port the same number. I get through everything and it starts checking the port. And I get this error:
"Your number transfer cannot be transferred at this time.

You must cancel your transfer to continue."
Not sure where the problem exists now.

Didn't work for me. Tried different browsers/credit card/address too - all failed. Saw on reddit that people have been having these issues going back years!

It depends on how you look at it. The first line is $65 ($60 with autopay). The 2nd line is another $30. Since both lines are in a "group plan" so to speak, the $5 difference only applies to the 1st line.
This is why I am not getting $30 for second line since my first line is at $40 with the Motorola Stylus deal two weeks back

Successful until the very end, says 'Your security is important' blah blah, says I need to contact them...however bank says charge hit the card, yet no email from Metro whatsoever, no way to log in/etc. It's all such drama...

I went to an Hispanic run Metro because my sim card didn't work and Metro told me I had to go into store to fix this. and my god they kept pushing fee after fee and fee. First $100 fee to look at my phone, a $59 activation fee. Some $39 fee. They told me they couldn't help unless I bought a phone case. They kept mentioning fees. They kept making up things and I was like NO, they sent me a bad SIM and I was told I had to go into store to fix it for no charge. They laughed and said we charge for everything. This was the worst customer service I've ever gotten. It is very wrong T mobile allows scammers to run Metro shops.

If you have a current order that you have not activated yet that's the issue. Once you receive your phone activate it and you'll be able to place another order. (Just placed my third order this way - a pain when trying to get people switched over on the same plan)

I don't know why Metro gave you a new number. Did you port in a Google Voice number or another type of number? Did Metro check and reserve the number during the ordering process? The screenshots below shows my process of getting my port-in GV number checked, reserved, and activated. The same number 785-260-xxxx was shown throughout the process. There's no need for me to call CS to port-in after activation.

I'm in a worse situation. My cox mobile number has been dropped and lost service on my phone. But my metro order hasn't gone through. This is so weird.
For my first order also metro just ported over my number or cox released my number even before the phone was shipped. I'm so screwed now.
