Now they've done it...
New wording for Metro unlock policy:

https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/t...ock-policy

"Unlock eligibility requirements
We unlock mobile devices that meet the following eligibility criteria free of charge:

The device must be purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.
The device must not be reported as lost, stolen or blocked.
Three hundred sixty-five (365) days must have passed since the device's activation date."

Should obviously only apply to purchases made after they changed the rules.
But might have to fight for that...

My main cell phone is an unlocked GSM phone, whose data is almost used up. I want to put the Sim in moto stylus 5G 2023 phone to my unlocked phone so I can use the unlimited data for one month. But I am afraid if doing this will void future unlock of moto stylus cell phone? if the Metro detects that the sim card is used with other cell phone, will it disable the future unlock?

Did anyone get open box item? Just got Samsung A54. Unforturnately, the box is opened. It looks new but someone must have opened it and returned it. I wonder if there will be an issue with unlocking in the future.

Received the phone today, however the order status web page still shows the order as 'estimated to arrive on 3/13' and the 'Activate' button is grayed out as well. When i turned on the phone with the SIM, it takes me to a TMobile call indicting the SIM is not active. Sorry if this was answered already, but any help would be great. Called customer support and was told this might get resolved in 24 hrs.

Not recommending! I'm on T-Mobile postpaid and unlocking requires (1) device paid off and (2) active for 40 days with device and sim paired (meaning you can't move the sim to a different device during that time). We're not even sure if Metro will unlock our devices 180 days after activation given that most of us will be unlikely to renew after 30 days. Why add another risk factor?

I wish to get an Android phone with eSim.
Which is the best among these promo? Prefer lower price, but doesn't have to be the lowest.

Right, my 2023 G Stylus just unlocked the other day too, but nobody knows if they've changed that policy since suddenly allowing port-in on like and access to the better deals. In 170 days or so, I guess we'll know.
I think this may also be related to the shift in store setups. Since there are no more "corporate" Metro stores, why would you send everyone to your partner retailers if you can do it yourself online. T-Mobile has Mint and Metro is all partner owned now, so porting online makes a lot more sense now to keep the revenue and good margin inhouse.

I don't think the Mint deal is finalized yet, government hasn't approved it yet.

What hell you are talking about? A15 has 4gb ram and slow sucked CPU.
moto Stylus 5G 2023 has much better CPU ,6gb ram, it's performance (AnTuTu benchmark score) is 50% better than A15, it also has desktop mode to do more for less!
