Now they've done it...
New wording for Metro unlock policy:

https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/t...ock-policy

"Unlock eligibility requirements
We unlock mobile devices that meet the following eligibility criteria free of charge:

The device must be purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.
The device must not be reported as lost, stolen or blocked.
Three hundred sixty-five (365) days must have passed since the device's activation date."

Should obviously only apply to purchases made after they changed the rules.
But might have to fight for that...
scroll down to Port your Google Voice number out to another carrier

https://support.google.com/voice/...5667?hl=en

Account is GV Number no dashes and need Setup Voicemail PIN is Port PIN if not setup that yet

to setup the voicemail pin have go to settings and enable Call to listen Check and manage your voicemails by calling your Google Voice number.

https://voice.google.com/u/0/settings#voicemail
Your account number is your google voice phone number. The pin is the one you set up in Google voice to check voice messages.

I've used 4 GV numbers to port in to Metro. They were used immediately after I paid the $3 to unlock. Without knowing the reason for your error, we can't tell what went wrong but it's most likely not due to the number still being locked. Make sure you provide the correct account number (your GV number without spaces/dashes, PIN that you pick to listen to GV voicemail, zipcode).
Thanks. I've tried the correct acct and pin number several times.. and keep getting rejected: "Sorry, we couldn't reserve your number.
We're weren't able to connect with your carrier to get your number reserved. Please continue with a new number, or visit a store to complete your number transfer. Promotions may vary in-store."

My bad... I was looking at Razr+ 2023...man so many phones....

If you're gaming then you will notice a big difference otherwise many of the regular users won't see much of a difference. In fact, people who never game on a cell phone (including me) won't see a huge difference.

I don't see a huge difference between A54 and S23FE (same screen and refresh rate) but opening and closing apps won't make a visible difference.

For me, Razr 2023 offer very interesting form factor. A54 & S23FE borderline big and heavy phones for me.

That usually means Metro system is having problems with checking port-in numbers. Try again tomorrow.

I have S23FE from Metro for $99 and Razr 2023 for $99.

I will go with Razr for the novelty factor, the same processor, and a 144 Hz screen.
You should say $140 to be more accurate instead of $99

Actually, it was not, $99+$40 to be accurate, https://slickdeals.net/f/17029348 see my old front page post. In store port-in that could be sucked a lot during that time.

My google voice from "cingular" didn't work. But the "Bandwith" all did. Check here before purchasing the $3 port out:
