These types of 120mm tower coolers are sub $20 on the reg. This was overpriced from the jump.

$18.90 for "Thermalright Assassin King 120 SE White ARGB" and it has FIVE heat pipes and is rated to 235w of cooling.

Noticeable with sound and being louder, yes. Temp, probably not but if you're spending extra money to add a fan and clips, grab a dual fan & tower from thermalright instead.

Not spending anything extra. I have fans. I thought if dual fan coolers exist maybe i can add another one. My case is open, very quiet with the current set up. Only psu, cpu, and 1 gpu fans.

ahhh. then why not. Then put the 2nd fan on and lower the speed cpu fan curve to decrease the noise if it gets too loud with the 2nd fan on

For only $9 more, the Vetroo 5 for $28 looks like great value also.

I just picked up a deal on a used Ryzen 7 5800x w/o stock cooler.

My original plan was to go with the Thermalright Assassin King 120 SE on a used Ryzen R5 3600 or 5600.

Anybody have thoughts on comparison of these two budget ARGB Air Coolers?

Thanks

I'd go with the THERMALRIGHT Peerless Assassin dual tower. MUCH more cooling power, especially for a beastly 8c/16t Ryzen that you got. Just search Amazon for it there are lots of color ways, rgb, and, non-rgb variations.

It has even beat some liquid cooling options. Google reviews.
