Q:
1. Does it mean I have "RESERVED" the phone (so it's the normal procedure to buy online and pick in store)? Since there's only 1 left in that BBY store so I don't want to assume but like to confirm.
2. What's the point to pick up in store? If I select "Ship to Home", what will I lose? Seems the activation fee will be waived anyway if immediately cancel the plan?

2. You have to go to store to get the new number. For an existing ATT account or porting a number to att you can get it shipped

Went to Best Buy 10:20 a.m. no appointment. Asked to purchase with new ATT number.
Finished 10:35 or so. Nothing paid, did have to give SSN email drivers license etc.
10:45 email from ATT Online Services to finish setup
3 pm setup account from email link
3:05 chat to cancel. 5 minutes wait to start, lot of waiting between attempts to upsell or transfer etc. Cancelled 3:32 pm. Phone box still unopened.
edit: I also see an account close email came from ATT immediately after.
