Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good rage against a cellphone company. But I'm confused by this one. Why are you feeling ditched that T-mo doesn't offer a test drive to current customers? Were you hoping to test out the T-mo network, even though you are already a customer?

What?! Why do you need a free test drive if you are already a T-Mobile customer? 🤦 I have plenty of complaints about T-Mobile, but this is just ridiculous! As for perks, have you never heard of T-Life or their Dining Rewards program?

It says you can keep your current carrier. I was hoping I could port out my number to try this so I don't need to pay my default carrier for 3 mo. Does anyone know if there is a way to do that with this promo?
If you have a dual SIM phone, in theory you could move your phone number to another carrier that is cheap for a voice only, or get it with a small amount of data. I would look for the voice only carrier has an easy option to port out. For example, US Mobile 2GB shareable data is $10 a month and then you use T-Mobile for data

Do the terms specifically say only newer gen esim capable phones? esim watch? Or does my 6a just not have esim #rip
I have the 6a and it worked perfectly. It does treat the dual sim a little wonky, but overall it works fine

Yes but T-Mobile trial won't activate without an active non T-Mobile sim in the phone. So you have to get a free Cricket trial sim in the phone first.

SOMETHING WENT WRONG error. I have an old Tracfone expired SIM in iphone SE 2022. It asked for details, address and went to 'Setup Network Pass' step. It was successful until this step. After this, it went to 'Lets get you FREE data' step to agree to terms and conditions. Once clicking next, it went to 'Lets setup your eSIM' step and quickly displays something went wrong error.
Anyone faced this error? How to clear/circumvent this?
Is your phone on their list of compatible phones? I kept getting the same error until I found out that my Samsung A54 5G is not on their compatible phone list.

iPhone SE 3rd is in the approved list of phones. My guess is, it needs an active SIM and needs internet from the third party network. I didn't work and left trying after sometime.

I can't find "Try T-Mobile" when I open up the app. Does it mean I am not eligible? I have the XR.

It didn't work in Canada last time I tried it which was last year I believe. I guess it would be the same this time.
