Or, just change them. Assuming you can find the breaker for your outlets, the rest is pretty easy.
Certainly no worse than swapping for IoT outlets, as those are more likely to become obsolete faster with all the competing standards. And those still sell quite well.

Note : 15amp & these plugs tend to be big so fitting them into a single gang box can be a challenge.
