It's an outlet with some extra. If they become outdated down the line and for whatever reason you don't want to swap, you still have the 2 regular plugs and are no worse off than if you didn't have the USB at all IMO.
Or, just change them. Assuming you can find the breaker for your outlets, the rest is pretty easy.
Certainly no worse than swapping for IoT outlets, as those are more likely to become obsolete faster with all the competing standards. And those still sell quite well.
Regular price $19.97, on sale for $19.97?
OMG, run for that deal. 😁
If your second or third bathrooms are daisy chained off a gfi these are great for all the new usb powered personal care products.
Note : 15amp & these plugs tend to be big so fitting them into a single gang box can be a challenge.

Where were these located? I was just at the store and two associates couldn't find it. The associate said it was just received but did not have a location when they looked up the item.
Do people view these as something they just swap out once they get outdated? I see the appeal in the short term but with standards for these things changing all the time, it seems likely that you just end up with underpowered/outdated (for the USB ports that is) charging ports in a few years.

At the Home Depot I went to in North Conway NH, they had to pull them from the overhead storage for me. The guy said they were supposed to put the display out on 2/26, but no one brought the box/display down. There were 16 remaining at 3pm.
