Cory Wong Signature Stratocasters are basically AM Ultras modified to Cory's preference. Compared to Ultra, this model has a smaller body with satin Nitro finish, a slightly larger headstock, Cory Wong's signature SD pickups and a 6-screw bridge.
This is a great deal if you want the neck profile of AM Ultra, but do not like the noiseless pickups. Based on the previous FGW Fender Aerodyne deal, you are getting a new modified AM Ultra for half the price if you don't mind no Fender warranty.

I've complained to reverb in the past. Dealers selling refurbs as Brand New or Excellent. Suggested Reverb add a category called Refurbed. They were looking into it.

The Tom Delonge isn't going to go up much in value. Get the Hello Kitty Squier Strat, which is basically the same guitar only 1000X more punk rock and upgrade the tuners and pickup.

From my personal experience, I bought two "mint" Aerodynes from the previous FGW deal. One is in pristine condition, and the other one came with the classic hairline crack near the neck pocket. FGW sent me a pre-paid label for the free exchange. And my Cory Wang Strat arrived in new condition this afternoon, with all accessories and certification in the Fender hard case.

Confirmed. I messaged Franklin and they said they were overstock, not refurbs.
