Can we trade this deal in and instead go back to no commercials on prime video?

Food delivery services are so overpriced nowadays. I signed up for grubhub+ through prime, then Uber one through capital one just for not using it even once. Total order always end up 30% more expensive then picking up yourself.

I signed up for this a few years back and cancelled it within a few weeks. Prices on grubhub and similar sites are sooo incredibly inflated, it just promotes putting a larger dent in your wallet.

Grubhub service hss gotten so bsd in my area, I quit using it. Even with a good coupon, sad food delivered an hour later or not at all is just useless.

Several times they delivered food to the wrong address. Got refunded, but by then was hangry and had to make other arrangements. Yes, I tip up front so I wasn't being "punished".

Last time I used it, I watched the delivery car sit in one spot for 45 minutes after picking up my food, which was totally ruined by the time it arrived. Fries were dead, shake melted and leaked over all thd food. They wouldn't even refund the total amount. I'm done.

Amazon keeps adding stuff to the Prime service that no one asked for.
And raising the membership price to make ip for it.

I guess if your that lazy or so rich that you keep warm in winter by burning hundred dollar bills, this is a great deal.
For the rest of us struggling making less then 200k a year (aka true poverty level) this is a gift horse shoe to your privates.

Cancelling Prime altogether, after they started charging for commercials, has been the slickest deal decision in a long time.

For a few years, Grubhub wasn't too bad. I discovered quite a few nice local restaurants through it.

Then they started adding in service/admin fees that were a percentage of total order.

Then the prices increased -- it's 20-30% more for literally the same item on Grubhub (or virtually any other delivery service) than it is directly on the restaurant's website ordering system/paper menu. Yet they "claim" they charge exactly the same price. Total nonsense.

And this is all ontop of normal delivery fees AND giving a decent tip.

Nope....I'm done. I haven't ordered a single thing on there for over two years, and I have no reason to go back. Now with Covid's price increases, there's all the incentive in the world to never patronize a local restaurant again.

I'd rather Amazon bring back commercial free Prime Video and stop being shitty with people doing legit returns than get this free invitation to pay too much for delivered food. Their CS has gone to hell, which is unfortunate since people are getting record numbers of farked up deliveries.

use GH, uber eats and door dash the "slickdeal" way and you'll save.
Only support those businesses that provide their own delivery. Fortunately, I live in an area where many did and still do. Their prices continue to rise but at least I know what my food will cost before and after tipping. No surprises.

I'm cool with this because Grubhub is sometimes the only exclusive service for very specific restaurants for delivery. I know of an awesome Thai restaurant in Eugene Oregon that only uses Grubhub.

I set a reminder on my phone to cancel it next February so I don't forget. I don't do delivery very often but occasionally there's times I do.

If you pause your prime it ruins the GrubHub+ deal and it can't be reinitialize. Kind of dumb. I only pay for monthly services when I want to use it now because it's too overpriced to pay for them every month when they don't provide that much use.

Businesses voluntarily participate in food delivery apps, knowing it may cut into their profits. No one is forcing them to use the apps. For them, some profit is better than no profit so you are still supporting their business if you buy from the app. Second, there are no surprises when you buy from the delivery apps since you know exactly how much you are paying, including tip, on the check out window before you hit the submit button.

Is it just me think Grubhub UI is the worst? I still don't understand how/where to apply a promo. So counterintuitive
