Aaaahhhh just found reason:

New process of producing OLEDs without rare earth minerals.

"The new process, in simplest terms, involves replacing those rare minerals with not-so-rare -- and therefore more affordable --- minerals. Diving into the science, the process involves grinding manganese bromide with benzyltriphenylphosphonium bromide. That solution is then dissolved into single MnBz crystals, which are used to create a light-emitting device (the LED part of OLED)."

So likely we see prices continue downward!

Tried 4 reps to price match/adjust difference or amazon credit back. NO GO. Went through with new purchase and return last week purchase of $1950.00 price.

The sad part is, this TV costs the same as a Samsung S24 Ultra 1tb......LOL Phones are marked up a lot!
