Aaaahhhh just found reason:

New process of producing OLEDs without rare earth minerals.

"The new process, in simplest terms, involves replacing those rare minerals with not-so-rare -- and therefore more affordable --- minerals. Diving into the science, the process involves grinding manganese bromide with benzyltriphenylphosphonium bromide. That solution is then dissolved into single MnBz crystals, which are used to create a light-emitting device (the LED part of OLED)."

So likely we see prices continue downward!

For those replacing their wall mounted Panasonic Plasma with this LG C3, what modifications do you have to make to your wall mount? Thank you

Tried several agents through Best Buy and they would not Price Match for nothing.
Need luck. My agent straight up price matched without asking anything.

I went for the 65" deal a few days ago but this is a steal so purchased the 77" and will cancel the 65".

Any ideas on extended warranty for the TV?

I don't own a plasma TV, but from another related thread, users reported needing to lower the mount.
If you look at the back of this TV, you will notice the screw holes for the mount start near the bottom, whereas your plasma probably has them near the center.
This will result in this TV being higher in comparison once mounted. The effect is noticed even more if this TV is larger than your last one.

Did you already order and ask for a price match or placed an order on chat?

Not sure why...

Rtings.com for everyone's reference LG C3 vs Samsung S90C:

HDR Native Gradient 9.3 to 7.8 Winner Samsung

Viewing Angle 10 to 9.3 Winner Samsung

HDR Brightness 8.5 to 8.1 Winner Samsung

Color Volume 9.1 to 7.9 Winner Samsung

Gray Uniformity 9.0 to 8.5 Winner Samsung

Pre Calibration (Be honest, most ppl aren't getting their TV professionally calibrated) 9.1 to 8.9 Winner Samsung

Now what did the C3 even win at?

Low quality content smoothing and SDR Brightness

Side note: Paired my S90C with an apple tv 4k for $150 and now have the best of both worlds

Bought and setup the Samsung S89C this past Saturday from BestBuy at $1799. Love it and it looks great. Trying to determine if it makes sense at all to return and get this. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't get all the Samsung hate, Samsung has always been really good to me and I have a lot of their stuff.

Retuning such a large TV will be a task but if there's good reason, I'll do it. 😁
It's a preference thing. If you like what you have, I'd say keep it. Most of the stuff that ppl comment on as deal breakers like the Dolby vision stuff, etc isn't even noticeable to the average person

Both are great TVs

I have a 10 year old Dynamic Mount (now Mantel Mount) and I had to adjust the counter balance. It also had a 300x200 VESA pattern with M6 bolts vs 300x300 with M8 bolts.

You left off some other significant info 🤔
Like the numbers for that Low quality content smoothing(which includes ("streaming")
That was 8.6 to 6.8! Winner C3

There was also overall/mixed usage that was 90 to 90.

Let's not forget Dolby Vision support especially since it's becoming a mainstay with content.

This all for less than the S90!

I'll just say I've got the C3 42" for gaming since there's no S90C 42". With all those wins for Samsung on Rtings.com and my own side by side eye test I'm glad I got the 77" S90C in my living room instead of the C3. Hope everyone gets exactly what they like best Smilie
