Same tote was on sale at Costco for 6.99 a month ago. Bought 4. They are nice totes. Only complaint is they are a bit tall and my shelves only fit 1 per row where as Rubbermaid could fit 2 per row. So just be prepared that these are large totes

I can confirm the Costco ones and Home Depot ones are not interchangeable and only one of the brands will stack on the other (loosely) but not vice versa. I can't remember which stacks on which (I suspect it's HDX that fits on top of GreenMade but I'm not near them to confirm) but I do know that my garage has a healthy mix of them and it's a tad annoying. Unfortunately I bought them for a move so once they were packed and I tried to stack it was game over. Wasn't about to unpack them and return so it is what it is.

We need a USB-like standard for these totes. HD, Lowes, Costco, now office depot, all have slightly different dimension.

These are great. They're also at costco around $8.99 normally. I used 9 of these to make cat houses for my community cats. I used cardboard layers to insulate and there's still plenty of room for my fat and spoiled TNRs(trap neutered and returned). Very thankful for such a generous size and good price.

Do not get these for outdoor storage, the lids develop cracks, flooding the contents.

And before that, those "padlock holes" allow water to trickle-in.

I bought hundreds of these, in 1 order, and would never buy EVEN 1 again …. HOMZ totes are far superior for outdoor storage.

For those wondering, I think what I'm going to use this for (as I'm moving soon) is I'm going to buy vacuum sealing packs (from Amazon) and seal clothes. Then put the sealed packs into these containers. I will most likely be storing a lot of my clothes in a more damp/basement since my new place will be smaller.

These were never meant for outdoor storage in the elements. I wouldn't even have them exposed to direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. It'll make the plastic brittle.

Reminds me of the people trying to use a file cabinet and office cabinets for outside for storage.

What storage totes ARE "rated" for outside storage?

How do you know these weren't "meant" for outdoor storage, in the elements?

Did you design these?

Not everything outdoors is "exposed to direct sunlight" …. Did you ever see a tree?

And you didn't know that some plastics have UV resistance?

And did I ever mention not being UV resistant?

This should remind you of people who tried to use plastic totes, that do not rust like file/office cabinets, for outside storage, but got screwed by a bad design and bad materials.
