this is bottom-shelf tuna if you know what i mean. it's ok for certain things but it's basically tuna mush. the difference between this stuff and other relatively affordable brands like portofino, genova, or wild planet is massive. i haven't tried bumble bee prime yet but hopefully it's better

yeah i guess, but this is just the albacore version. some people prefer light tuna, though. it's much lower in mercury, so you can safely eat it more often
Bumble bee tuna is nothing but pulverized mush. You lose half the can if you press the lid and try to drain any of the water. It's awesome for dog or cat food if you're going to dump the entire can in and don't care about the moisture. For human consumption the product is garbage because of the consistency

I also prefer flakier tuna. But a can strainer[amazon.com] works well to drain the soupier brands.
