For the uninformed. I work in IT in healthcare. The test are not going to stop you from getting COVID, they will let you know you have COVID. What you choose to do with this information is up to you and, let's face it, your employer. For us it means working from home for at least the day (for a non-positive result) or working from home for at least the week (for a positive result). We care about our coworkers and have the ability to protect them from getting sick. Which in turn protects them from spreading it to their families and patients.
We are lucky enough to have an employeer that cares about spreading disease and are lucky enough to have the ability to work from home. One of my coworkers is currently working from home because he is sick and I appreciate him for it.

I've been on SD for ages and I never get why people feel the need to argue about stuff like this. If you don't want the test, think it's stupid, whatever, don't sign up for it then. If you want it, great, get it.

tl;dr - chill out with the fighting

If you have a certain Kaiser plan, they give you home test for free. Its 4 boxes of 2pk max a month per person.

Dunno why this is being posted today. I'm pretty sure they haven't added any tests to allowances in months. I just tried and it said I've reached my limit, and I haven't ordered any in a while.
I successfully ordered 8 , no previous orders

After I ordered, there was a button that says "This address is eligible for another order" so I clicked on it and it gave me a second order. Dunno if I'll end up with 8 or 16.

if you can't get why people need to argue that's a big problem right here. these tests are not free, we are taxed on every single thing and it's for what? THIS? I thought USPS was constantly losing money and I thought their purpose was to deliver mail, not to be a front for pushing medical stuff around.

Either way, there is a lot to argue about here. These tests are simply not "free" and someone is footing the bill. That right there is plenty to argue about.
....there really isn't though. And if you *truly* believe there is, you are 100% in the wrong forum/site for it. If 'omg the fraction of a fraction of a cent of my taxes that went to this!' is your argument, do you *really* think arguing about it on a deals site for saving money is the place to get change accomplished? You have the power to vote and educate yourself on candidates on a local, state, and national level that align with your beliefs and to vote for them. That isn't a guarantee it'll go your way, but not voting is a guaranteed way to put no effort toward fixing the problem you perceive.

...and if that doesn't work, well, moving to another country who's ideologies more closely align with yours might be the move for you. Smilie

Hopefully we can get back to arguing about things that *are* worth arguing about on a deals/saving money forum, like whether something is in fact a slick deal or not compared to it's usual retail pricing. Smilie

I'm not saying I don't get the need to argue. Personally, I love arguing, lol. However what I am saying is a deal forum is not the place to do it.

Do you use allergy medicine or Biotin? They can give you false negatives. There may be some other medications as well, but these are two that I am aware of.
no i don't take any medication at the moment., my experience but the doctor i spoke with said it was like 60% false negative rate not sure where they got that number though

Ok, back to this deal.
It says this offer is only valid if order has not been placed for my address since 09/25/2023.

I did order when it opened and I did get 4x test. Does this mean I can get 4x more or I won't be able to order AT ALL?

Just wondering. (of course I can try it but was wondering if anyone already tried)

My son is a school teacher so he comes home with TONS of virus and other things so want to stock up to test.
Yes, I am in the same boat as you and I just placed an order and it came back to say I will get four tests in the mail, not eight.

if we keep accepting them, the gov might think there's a demand for them and funnel more money into this useless money pit.
It is hardly a useless money pit if a positive test result allows you to isolate yourself from your family and prevents them from getting the COVID virus.
