On an unrelated note... Looking for opinions - What cat litter does a real good job of eliminating odor and no sludging?
I like World's Best Cat Litter but it's too pricey for my taste. Very good at keeping out odor, in my opinion, and it is VERY long lasting.
Not a fan of pine pellets. They don't keep in odor at all. (or maybe since it's pellets, my fur babies were not kicking it around, thus leaving a pile to aerate) But they were very inexpensive. Especially if you stop by your local Tractor Supply.
Annoying that it's autoship only, but great deal. My cat overlords love Hills weight loss kibbles with a passion. Some kind of cat crack in there.
Switched to Hills in desperation as my kittos were getting loose stool from some other brands. They've been healthy and happy since though finding alternatives has been a pain.
I thought they sold Kirkland litter for some reason but they only had a couple brands with not so great reviews. Something about changing formulas as of late

I was suckered in by their food/shelter/love program that gives so much food away to many of my feline brethren at humane societies and shelters.
And, it's the only kind my manservant feeds me, so there is that. Though I also enjoy Fancy Feast wet food and people food.

I'm having good luck with whatever Costco sells.

Tested a bag of 52-lbs Purina Tidy Cats Non-Clumping Cat Litter for Multiple Cats [samsclub.com] and I did not like it. It's like small clay pebbles. Goes fast.
Currently testing out Purina Tidy Cats Multi-Cat Clumping Litter, Clear Springs Scent (40 lbs.) [samsclub.com] but I have yet to get a full test ride of it to leave an opinion.
I've tried crystal litter before but it stuck to my cat's paws too much and I got sick of finding little crystals around the house.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Yeah it's looking like I'll have to try Purina's too. I'm using something from Walmart that's OK but not great.
